In this episode we are going through verses 13-22 of 1 Peter chapter 3. In these few short verses, Peter covers 6 big topics that address how we represent Jesus to the world, if we represent Jesus to the world, and what people see of Jesus when they look at our lives. Join us as we discuss the wisdom Peter offers about how we should live our lives as disciples of Jesus.

Questions:
Vs 14 - How do we handle being mistreated when we are in the right? Can we hold our tongue and let truth outlive a lie?
Vs 15 - What is the story of your walk with the Lord? Are you prepared, are you willing, to share it if someone asks?
Vs 16 - Humility and respect for others are the key in how people accept you and the words you speak. What are some examples of this?
Vs 17-18 - Are you willing to identify with Jesus in suffering rejection and accusations for doing the right thing? What are some examples of this?
Vs 19-20 - Some of us struggle with the violence and judgement we see in the Old Testament. How can a God of love act like this? These verses show us a picture of God’s heart. That even in His judgement, His love remains. How do these verses reshape our image of God?
Vs 21 - Peter uses the previous verses to explain baptism. What is the power of you and I seeing ourselves “dead” to sin, but “alive” to Christ?
Vs 22 - Peter reminds us of the final score. Jesus faced many challenges in His earthly life. He pushed through those challenges to remain true to God and complete His purpose. How does His example encourage us to do the same?

Self Refllect: How do I represent Jesus? Am I ready to share my faith
with others? Do the words that I speak, and the way that I live
reflect a good picture of Jesus to the world around me?
